What are your business opening hours?
Our business opening hours are 9am-5pm Monday – Thursday and 9am-4pm Friday.
Do you install underfloor heating?
Yes, Radiant Underfloor Heating specialises in the installation of underfloor heating systems, from the design, to installation and final commission. We can even fit flooring!
What underfloor heating types do you offer?
Our underfloor heating systems are hydronic (water) systems. We offer both underfloor (subfloor) heating systems, suitable for new builds and extensions, and overlay (above the floor) heating systems, often preferred for retrofit projects.
For more on our systems, see Underfloor Heating Types.
Do you offer any guarantees?
Yes – our pipes have a 25-year manufacturer guarantee.
Is underfloor heating expensive to run?
Underfloor heating systems in general are 25% more efficient than traditional radiator systems, which can have significant savings on your annual energy bill.
On top of this, hydronic underfloor heating systems are more cost-efficient to run than electric systems.
Is underfloor heating efficient?
Underfloor heating is a very efficient heating method and much more efficient than traditional radiator systems; because of this, it is a cost-effective and greener heating method compared to traditional systems.
Underfloor heating utilises heat generated from warm water pipes or electric cables, which rises up through the floor to heat the room.
What flooring is compatible with underfloor heating?
The majority of flooring types are compatible with underfloor heating; however, some are preferred for their increased thermal conductivity. For example, wood and tile are some of the best flooring types for underfloor heating.
For more on flooring and a comparison of materials, see Materials.
How long does it take to install underfloor heating?
Underfloor heating generally takes a couple days to install, however this depends on the size and complexity of the project.
What is the best way to run underfloor heating?
In the colder months, it is recommended that underfloor heating runs constantly on a lower temperature (and adjusted as necessary via thermostat), rather than being turned on and off. This could lead to a more cost-effective way of running your underfloor heating system in the long run.
Do underfloor heating systems need maintenance?
Underfloor heating systems have a much longer lifespan than traditional systems and are pretty low maintenance. They are clean, out-of-sight systems which are unlikely to become damaged after correct installation. However, it is best practise to have your system serviced annually.
